Hílton Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Neto having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Demolition FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Mesquita came free, but Luiz Gustavo Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Demolition FC got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Tavares. 27 minutes into the game, Castanhao SS's Hílton Mesquita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Gustavo Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castanhao SS's goalkeeper Abelardo Bueno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Hílton Mesquita notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Demolition FC's Luiz Gustavo Neto. Luiz Gustavo Neto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hílton Mesquita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Gustavo Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Tostão Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Demolition FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tostão Pontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tostão Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Abelardo Bueno made a huge save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Hílton Mesquita made the kick off in the second half. If Hílton Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Demolition FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Hernani Leite hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Hílton Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Mesquita in the 67th minute of the match. If Beto Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Demolition FC booed when Castanhao SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almir Eger hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 75 played minutes Demolition FC got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Quadros. 78 minutes into the match, Castanhao SS's Acácio Leal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Gustavo Neto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Castanhao SS's Abelardo Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Pontes in the 82nd minute of play. Hernani Leite took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Bueno. Abelardo Bueno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Abelardo Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão Pontes in the 92nd minute of the match. Tostão Pontes struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Abelardo Bueno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Demolition FC. Beto Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Castanhao SS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Demolition FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
