Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5465, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when João Santos took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, The Last Word's Guilherme Furtado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcinho Trevisan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Joel Ihintza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Cristóvão Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joel Ihintza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Joel Ihintza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristóvão Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Marcinho Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Furtado in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Joel Ihintza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MeninoMeuFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Ihintza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Last Word's goalkeeper Cristóvão Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Claudinei Madureira fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Last Word's protests and gave Claudinei Madureira a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisinho Faria during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Luisinho Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, The Last Word's Pedro Prado tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, The Last Word's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luisinho Faria fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, The Last Word's Jonas Freitas got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Joel Ihintza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Joel Ihintza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Cristóvão Varela managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when MeninoMeuFC's Joel Ihintza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 39 played minutes The Last Word got a freekick which was hit by Valdo França. In a very dangerous position, a player in The Last Word fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! Cristóvão Varela went to the wrong direction when Laerte Rosa was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Ihintza was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Joel Ihintza made a precise shot to the right of Cristóvão Varela. The Last Word's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Cristóvão Varela came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by MeninoMeuFC's Christian Pereira. But to his dismay, Christian Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in The Last Word's zone, Joel Ihintza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristóvão Varela came out of the goal and Joel Ihintza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristóvão Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Faria in the 61st minute of play. Cristóvão Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Camargo in the 62nd minute of play. Valdo França hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Cristóvão Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Ihintza in the 65th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Pedrinho Mineiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Last Word's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MeninoMeuFC the free kick. A collision led to The Last Word getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Pedrinho Mineiro hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, MeninoMeuFC's Joel Ihintza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristóvão Varela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedrinho Mineiro was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 74th minute, Pedrinho Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Joel Ihintza notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of The Last Word's Cristóvão Varela. Cristóvão Varela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 79 played minutes The Last Word got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Macedo. In the 86th match minute, MeninoMeuFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felippe da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Ihintza in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristóvão Varela saved The Last Word from getting behind. Cristóvão Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Ihintza in the 93rd minute of the match. Joel Ihintza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristóvão Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Ihintza's shot from short distance in the 98th minute.
