João Santos started the match with the kick off. Börge Stephansson charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Börge Stephansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of The Last Word booed when Bermudas e Chinelos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börge Stephansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute João Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Garoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Bermudas e Chinelos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Pitta to maneuver through the defense. Guilherme Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Julio Garoa made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Bermudas e Chinelos FC's Téo Maciel got a free kick in the 21st minute. Pedrão Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cristóvão Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to The Last Word getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Guilherme Furtado hit a great ball. Cristóvão Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Dracena in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Daniel Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristóvão Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Dracena in the 33rd minute of play. Börge Stephansson lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 41st match minute, Bermudas e Chinelos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börge Stephansson to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Pedro Prado sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bermudas e Chinelos FC's Julio Garoa didn't even have to move.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Dracena to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Dracena was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Valdo França kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Cauã Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Garoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Valdo França threw the ball into play from the sideline. Bermudas e Chinelos FC's Cauã Xavier quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Daniel Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the game, Daniel Dracena lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Cristóvão Varela. Emerson Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Emerson Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bermudas e Chinelos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emerson Koehler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrão Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Varela having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Daniel Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bermudas e Chinelos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristóvão Varela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Dracena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristóvão Varela having to make a save. In the 85th minute, Daniel Dracena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bermudas e Chinelos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Daniel Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Varela was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Téo Maciel. Daniel Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Varela having to interfere. Bermudas e Chinelos FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
