Nicolas Pires's late challenge caught a Joaninha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Pires helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Jumirim's Nicolas Pires got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Joaninha FC's Kauan Brodel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Jumirim. Alfredinho Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gil Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Alfredinho Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joaninha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Jumirim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joaninha FC the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Kauan Brodel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jumirim's Gil Souza didn't even have to move. When Joaninha FC's Válter Amorim in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jumirim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Válter Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Jorge Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jumirim's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Arantes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Carlos Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Joaninha FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Patrick Lopes hit a great ball. Válter Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jumirim's zone, Alfredinho Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Souza came out of the goal and Alfredinho Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
