When Téo França fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jumirim's protests and gave Téo França a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Jumirim got a freekick which was hit by Téo França. In the 46th minute Guto Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jumirim's zone, Oswaldo Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Souza came out of the goal and Oswaldo Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Arantes was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Jumirim booed when Angicos SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Guto Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd match minute, Angicos SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Eduardo Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Angicos SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Angicos SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
