In the 5th match minute, Joaninha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Félix was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Válter Amorim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Válter Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 12th minute, Marcus Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nando Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Carlos Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Pinheiro in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Válter Amorim in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Félix prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Pereba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Amorim came free, but Daniel Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Almir Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes Joaninha FC got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Pinheiro. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pereba EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kauan Brodel was slow to take the kick. During this time Joaninha FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Kauan Brodel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Félix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. José Carlos Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Pinheiro in the 36th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fred Neiva during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th minute, Fred Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Nando Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pereba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nando Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Carlos Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Válter Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the match, Marcus Alves notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Joaninha FC's José Carlos Godoi. José Carlos Godoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 47th minute, Marcus Alves made a precise shot to the right of José Carlos Godoi. Joaninha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nando Pinheiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Carlos Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Joaninha FC's Caio Couto got a free kick in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Joaninha FC's zone, Nando Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Carlos Godoi came out of the goal and Nando Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaninha FC's Patrick Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaninha FC were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Pereba EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kauan Brodel took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Kauan Brodel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Félix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Nando Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Pereba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. After 85 played minutes Joaninha FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Lopes. Marcus Alves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, José Carlos Godoi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. José Carlos Godoi made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Marcus Alves sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Pinheiro in the 95th minute of play forced Joaninha FC's goalkeeper José Carlos Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pereba EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
