The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Augusto Antunes during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. João Augusto Antunes hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Ezequiel de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Oswaldo Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Valdo Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angicos SC. 38 minutes into the match, Angicos SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel de Andrade came free, but Eduardo Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oswaldo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Bittencourt having to interfere. When Rodolfo Couto came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Chapéu Atolado Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Couto couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ezequiel de Andrade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Coutos short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Eduardo Toledo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ezequiel de Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angicos SC's Eduardo Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Angicos SC from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Rodolfo Couto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Chapéu Atolado Fc's Ezequiel de Andrade in the 83rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Eduardo Toledo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Angicos SC through an amazing save. 85 minutes into the match, Angicos SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel de Andrade came free, but Eduardo Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel de Andrade in the 92nd minute of play.
