Hugo Zonta came out of the goal and Jeferson Linares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Víktor Marques took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Zonta. Hugo Zonta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 31st minute Jeferson Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes of play, Caru's Jeferson Linares made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Zonta was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Víktor Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedrinho Netto fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minuano FC's protests and gave Pedrinho Netto a yellow card for diving instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeferson Linares was the one to do the kick off. Jeferson Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Zonta made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Jeferson Linares sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th match minute, Minuano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Cosme to maneuver through the defense. If Víktor Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Minuano FC got a freekick which was hit by Manoel Cosme. Jeferson Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeferson Linares took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Zonta. Hugo Zonta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Hugo Zonta was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Víktor Marques capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Víktor Marques really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Víktor Marques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Zonta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Vladimir de Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimir de Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vladimir de Queirós hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Severino Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 100th minute. When the final whistle sounded Caru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Minuano FC.
