After a defensive mix-up in EC São Gabriel's zone, Davi das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson de Andrade came out of the goal and Davi das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tião Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Ananindeua's Tião Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lenílson de Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 29th minute of the match, Adelino Lara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Toninho Nóbrega saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. EC São Gabriel's attentive Marcos Trevisan managed to snatch the ball when Anselmo Pitta made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Célio Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Nóbrega having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerônimo de Moraes was the one to do the kick off. Célio Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerônimo de Moraes in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toninho Nóbrega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 72 played minutes Ananindeua got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Ortiz. Toninho Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Trevisan might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toninho Nóbrega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Trevisan ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Lara in the 78th minute of play forced Ananindeua's goalkeeper Toninho Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davi das Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Lenílson de Andrade made a huge save. Célio Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Jerônimo de Moraes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toninho Nóbrega was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lenílson de Andrade acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Anselmo Pitta. The Ananindeua players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented EC São Gabriel from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
