A collision led to Meriti getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Vânderson Ortiz hit a great ball. Pedrão Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ricardo Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Natã Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Raimundo de Andrade made the kick off in the second half. When Guaxupe's Raimundo de Andrade in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
