A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Hoppe FC's Nicolas Loureiro got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Tomé Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Célio Amorim got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied.
