The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Guedes during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Oscar Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felipe Vander got his second yellow card in the match during the 6th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, CapellerFC's Felipe Vander got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 11th minute, Conrado Aparecido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Paramoti booed when CapellerFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Ediberto Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafu de Almeida hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Conrado Aparecido kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Björn Ironside. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, CapellerFC's Ediberto Batista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmo Cearense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Oscar Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Björn Ironside didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ediberto Batista in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ediberto Batista struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Dalmo Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CapellerFC. The supporters of CapellerFC booed when Paramoti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes, CapellerFC's Válter de Sousa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dalmo Cearense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CapellerFC reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ediberto Batista to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Paramoti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Válter de Sousa who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Válter de Sousa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paramoti's Dalmo Cearense did a great save. Rui do Valle hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The supporters of CapellerFC booed when Paramoti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Conrado Aparecido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Björn Ironside was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After 61 played minutes Paramoti got a freekick which was hit by Dida Arósio. CapellerFC's Ediberto Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paramoti's Conrado Aparecido got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. CapellerFC's Björn Ironside played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Guedes in the 75th minute of play. Albertinho de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Paramoti's Rui do Valle got a free kick in the 78th minute. Dalmo Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes Paramoti got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Ramalho. In the 82ndth minute of the game Ediberto Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paramoti's Dalmo Cearense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ediberto Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Dalmo Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Ironside having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Rui do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Paramoti's zone, Ediberto Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Cearense came out of the goal and Ediberto Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cafu de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paramoti's protests and gave Cafu de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Cafu de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CapellerFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
