Grêmio PX's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisão Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Grêmio PX getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Vítor Capixaba hit a great ball. Vitinho Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Braga in the 21st minute of play. Luisão Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Mesquita having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezequiel Braga in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitinho Aparecido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ezequiel Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Grêmio PX defense, Sílvio Luís Dante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vitinho Aparecido. The Grêmio PX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vitinho Aparecido should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luís Dante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Vitinho Aparecido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 46 minutes, Abel Veloso mouthed his way into the referee's book.
