Spectators: 6395 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luciano de Amorim started the match with the kick off. Luisão Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitinho Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Mesquita in the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio PX's zone, Tomé Mesquita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho Aparecido came out of the goal and Tomé Mesquita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitinho Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Grêmio PX's Vitinho Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo de Andrade in the 25th minute of play. Luciano de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Guaxupe's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano de Amorim came free, but Ricardo Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Penha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano de Amorim's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 47thth minute of the game Tomé Mesquita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio PX's Vitinho Aparecido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Raimundo de Andrade made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Tomé Mesquita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano de Amorim in the 55th minute of play forced Guaxupe's goalkeeper Ricardo Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luisão Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edinho Mattos's late challenge caught a Guaxupe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edinho Mattos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Tomé Mesquita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitinho Aparecido was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tomé Mesquita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Vitinho Aparecido made a huge save. If Tomé Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Remo Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé Mesquita took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitinho Aparecido. Vitinho Aparecido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 84thth minute of the game Luciano de Amorim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaxupe's Ricardo Penha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th match minute, Guaxupe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 96 minutes into the match, Guaxupe's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano de Amorim came free, but Ricardo Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guaxupe had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
