Emanuel Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomé Paraíba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Emanuel Nunes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Luan das Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luan das Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hoppe FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. In the 26th minute, Emanuel Nunes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tomé Paraíba, passed just outside the right post. Antônio Carlos da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Nelsinho Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Nunes in the 48th minute of play forced Hoppe FC's goalkeeper Tomé Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Emanuel Nunes made the kick off in the second half. A hard shot by Ismael Marques from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Luizão Cabral's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 67 minutes into the match, Pirangucu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo de Queirós came free, but Luizão Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rodolfo de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luizão Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo de Queirós in the 74th minute of play. Hoppe FC were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Pirangucu EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ismael Marques took the corner. The corner ended in Ismael Marques almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pirangucu EC's Luizão Cabral did a great save. Tomé Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Nunes in the 81st minute of play. Rodolfo de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Cabral having to interfere. If Emanuel Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomé Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho Souza in the 89th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
