Spectators: 6659 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emanuel Nunes started the match with the kick off. The attack was good, but when Tomé Mesquita in the 3rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Nelsinho Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Penha having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Pirangucu EC got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Domingues. After 13 played minutes, Guaxupe's Juninho Nogueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luizão Cabral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guaxupe reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo de Andrade in the 19th minute of play forced Pirangucu EC's goalkeeper Luizão Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Maria Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ricardo Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Nunes in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Guaxupe's zone, Nelsinho Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Penha came out of the goal and Nelsinho Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 31 minutes of play, Pirangucu EC's Emanuel Nunes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Penha was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute, Tomé Mesquita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Maria Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Guaxupe's Juninho Nogueira got a free kick in the 38th minute. The audience held their breath when Bernardo Medeiros in the 40th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ricardo Penha's left hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enéas Souza during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Guaxupe getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Enéas Souza hit a great ball. Nelsinho Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Penha having to make a save. 48 minutes into the match, Guaxupe's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Nunes came free, but Ricardo Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo de Andrade made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo de Andrade in the 53rd minute of play forced Pirangucu EC's goalkeeper Luizão Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaxupe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Juninho Nogueira in the 57th minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Nelsinho Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirangucu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelsinho Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luizão Cabral came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Guaxupe's Raimundo de Andrade. But to his dismay, Raimundo de Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 70th match minute, Guaxupe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enéas Souza to maneuver through the defense. Guaxupe's Ricardo Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Nunes in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Guaxupe getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Enéas Souza hit a great ball. If Nelsinho Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Emanuel Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Pirangucu EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Nunes couldn't finish the play. Nelsinho Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Penha having to interfere. Raimundo de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomé Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Maria Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pirangucu EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Juninho Nogueira was slow to take the kick. During this time Guaxupe's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Guaxupe getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Raimundo de Andrade hit a great ball. Pirangucu EC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Guaxupe to leave the ground with a draw.
