Vânderson Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cafu Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Catarinense in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valenciense AS's goalkeeper Cafu Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Válter Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The audience was convinced that Lino Catarinense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cafu Luz was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Vânderson Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Luz having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Valério Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valenciense AS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachoeira F.C the free kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Koehler was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Pedro Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cafu Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Ferreira in the 57th minute of play. Lino Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vânderson Ferreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cafu Luz having to make a save. A collision led to Valenciense AS getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gabriel Linares hit a great ball. Luiz Gustavo de Castro struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cafu Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cachoeira F.C. In the 68thth minute of the game Lino Catarinense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valenciense AS's Cafu Luz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Vânderson Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cachoeira F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Severino Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Valenciense AS booed when Cachoeira F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nando Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vânderson Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Luz having to interfere. Cachoeira F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
