Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Douglas de Carvalho made the kick off which started today's match. Felippe Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Vaz in the 3rd minute of play. Luís Fernando Nunes's late challenge caught a Queimacao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fernando Nunes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, BAHIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Nunes to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th match minute, Queimacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. If Douglas de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas de Carvalho in the 12th minute of play forced Queimacao's goalkeeper Mazinho Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tiago Gabriel Guedes came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the BAHIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Gabriel Guedes couldn't finish the play. When Queimacao's Hamílton Vaz in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BAHIA's goalie prevented a goal. Felippe Rodrigues acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Enrique Azevedo. In the 24th minute, Waldemar Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felippe Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes Queimacao got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Vaz. Tiago Gabriel Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, BAHIA's Geovani Bastos got a free kick in the 38th minute. Mazinho Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Tiago Gabriel Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. BAHIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Gabriel Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mazinho Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hamílton Vaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nico Munhoz hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Douglas de Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Gabriel Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Douglas de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the BAHIA fans jumped to their feet. Hamílton Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Rodrigues having to interfere. Felippe Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Passos in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, BAHIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Felippe Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Passos in the 73rd minute of the match. Antônio Passos struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Felippe Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queimacao. Felippe Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamílton Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 79th match minute, Queimacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Gabriel Guedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Mazinho Félix made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Douglas de Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiago Gabriel Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Douglas de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BAHIA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Queimacao had won, even though BAHIA had held more of the ball.
