Paranapolis's Ismael Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 55 played minutes Restos de Aborto got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Veiga. In the 57th minute, Nelsinho Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmílson Goiano missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 59 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Vitinho Veiga right hand side. The supporters of Paranapolis booed when Restos de Aborto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dráusio Bertassi fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Paranapolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmílson Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitinho Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86thth minute of the game Túlio Magalhães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Restos de Aborto's Vitinho Veiga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Túlio Magalhães's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitinho Veiga was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Restos de Aborto's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmílson Goiano was slow to take the kick. During this time Paranapolis's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Edmílson Goiano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vitinho Veiga quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match was over Paranapolis could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Restos de Aborto throughout the match.
