Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ciro Prestes took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Vitório Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot. EXCELSIOR FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitório Falcão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enio Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the match, EXCELSIOR FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho Vasconcelos came free, but Kléberson Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Prestes in the 15th minute of play forced EXCELSIOR FC's goalkeeper Kléberson Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enio Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Bruninho Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangunca's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruninho Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kléberson Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ciro Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in EXCELSIOR FC's zone, Ciro Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléberson Jacinto came out of the goal and Ciro Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kléberson Jacinto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciro Prestes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. When Bruninho Vasconcelos came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Mangunca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruninho Vasconcelos couldn't finish the play. Ciro Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Jacinto having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitório Falcão to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Ciro Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Ciro Prestes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mangunca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Ciro Prestes scored 5-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kléberson Jacinto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ciro Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Prestes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kléberson Jacinto having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mangunca fully deserved thier win.
