Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frank Luz started the match with the kick off. Délio Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Luz in the 3rd minute of the match. Délio Baptista came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Iratinga AD's Délio Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Délio Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, C.A. River Guaíba's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Arruda came free, but Délio Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Délio Gaúchos short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Délio Baptista to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Emerson Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. River Guaíba's goalkeeper Délio Baptista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Délio Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th match minute, C.A. River Guaíba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enéas Dantas to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Wilton Linhares managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Délio Baptista came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Iratinga AD's Délio Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Délio Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Frank Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to C.A. River Guaíba getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Osvaldinho Ramalho hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fernando de Medeiros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maicon Guerra's late challenge caught a Iratinga AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maicon Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. Maicon Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Luz in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Délio Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 61 played minutes C.A. River Guaíba got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Guerra. Wilton Linhares was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Gaúcho in the 70th minute of play forced C.A. River Guaíba's goalkeeper Délio Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Délio Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Délio Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Délio Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Luiz Fernando de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. River Guaíba's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fernando de Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Linhares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Délio Baptista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frank Luz went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Délio Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Luz in the 94th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Iratinga AD fully deserved thier win.
