Waldir Cavalcante started the match with the kick off. If Luisão Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulinho de Senna in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hílton Recife, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Chapadao's zone, Luisão Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Recife came out of the goal and Luisão Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulinho de Sennas short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Hílton Recife to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulinho de Senna in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Recife saved Chapadao from getting behind. Luisão Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Luís Guilherme Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Waldir Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 22 minutes of play, Chapadao's Elias Seco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Quirino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulinho de Senna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Hílton Recife when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Chapadao's Tiaguinho Nóbrega got a free kick in the 27th minute. Paulinho de Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Hílton Recife made a huge save. If Luisão Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hílton Recife was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Teodoro Proença. In the 39th minute, Paulinho de Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chapadao's zone, Paulinho de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Recife came out of the goal and Paulinho de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulinho de Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Paulinho de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tiaguinho Nóbrega was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. A collision led to Chapadao getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Tiaguinho Nóbrega hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Paulinho de Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hílton Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulinho de Senna in the 65th minute of the match. Waldir Cavalcante's late challenge caught a Curralzinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldir Cavalcante helped the player get up and apologised. Waldir Cavalcante hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Chapadao's Hílton Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho de Senna in the 70th minute of play. Paulinho de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Guilherme Correia got free with Manuel Quirino in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulinho de Senna in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton Recife prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Renato Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulinho de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hílton Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho de Senna in the 89th minute of play. Paulinho de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Hílton Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulinho de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Chapadao were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Curralzinho's much stronger midfield.
