Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bernardinho Neto kicked off to start the match. 11 minutes into the match, 3 Setembro EC's Bernardinho Neto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norberto Paraíba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Danilo Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardinho Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Paraíba having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Osvaldinho Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 3 Setembro EC's Angelo Siqueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save 3 Setembro EC from getting a goal against them. In the 25th match minute, 3 Setembro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Moraes in the 30th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Brochier got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Nóbrega. In the 37th minute of the match 3 Setembro EC got a corner. Brochier's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hudson Coutinho ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Danilo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half 3 Setembro EC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Moraes was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, 3 Setembro EC's Luizão Lara got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Fabiano Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danilo Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Norberto Paraíba made a huge save. After 68 played minutes Brochier got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Nóbrega. Rubinho Vergílio took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norberto Paraíba. Norberto Paraíba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Moraes in the 75th minute of play forced 3 Setembro EC's goalkeeper Angelo Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Danilo Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 3 Setembro EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute Miguel Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Miguel Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 3 Setembro EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
