In the 42nd minute, Guto Simões fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of José Pedro Pereira, passed just outside the right post. If Oswaldo Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After 57 played minutes C.R.FLAMENGO got a freekick which was hit by Jean Paul Carioca. the snaks's José Pedro Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Simões in the 61st minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, the snaks's goal looked a bit too open when Guto Simões came free, but José Pedro Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guto Simões took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Pedro Pereira. José Pedro Pereira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Guto Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. Guto Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Pereira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Simões in the 91st minute of play forced the snaks's goalkeeper José Pedro Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.R.FLAMENGO's Ernani da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto de Azevedo in the 98th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. C.R.FLAMENGO had won after a very even match.
