A collision led to Real Madruga getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Chico Nascimento hit a great ball. Percival Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Renato Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson Romero made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 9thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Renato Ramalho would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. If Percival Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Percival Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Ramalho having to interfere. Renato Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percival Soares in the 19th minute of play. Nilson Romero came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Renato Ramalho could save by the left post. 23 minutes into the match, LUNA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Pitta came free, but Alessandro Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Erivaldo Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilson Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renato Ramalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilson Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. 1-0 became the score in the 29th minute when Percival Soares elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Percival Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Ramalho having to interfere. In the 36th minute of the match, Nilson Romero got a very nice opportunity to score, but Renato Ramalho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 40th minute Giuseppe de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Giuseppe de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Erivaldo Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the game, Laerte Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LUNA F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Madruga the free kick. A collision led to LUNA F.C getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Laerte Fernandes hit a great ball. Real Madruga's Hernani Bertassi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alessandro Oliveira but with some difficulty. Ramón de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Genílson Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alessandro Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Real Madruga booed when LUNA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Madruga's Erivaldo Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessandro Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Giuseppe de Castro sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute, Laerte Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erivaldo Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Oliveira having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Erivaldo Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, LUNA F.C's goalkeeper Alessandro Oliveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giuseppe de Castro. Giuseppe de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alessandro Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Nilson Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renato Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percival Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
