In the 10th minute Nilson Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Oxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Victorino Espiridion in the 15th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 19th minute Nilson Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Oxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorino Espiridion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vaggelis Kousouridis having to make a save. 25 minutes into the match, JôVentus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Bittencourt came free, but Lorenzo Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GAMP FC's zone, Victorino Espiridion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vaggelis Kousouridis came out of the goal and Victorino Espiridion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. JôVentus FC's Lorenzo Oxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Bittencourt in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, JôVentus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton da Rocha came free, but Lorenzo Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amílton Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amílton Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, JôVentus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Lorenzo Oxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half GAMP FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nilson Bittencourt to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to GAMP FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Nilson Bittencourt hit a great ball. Victorino Espiridion scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vaggelis Kousouridis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 62 minutes into the game, Nilson Bittencourt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GAMP FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JôVentus FC the free kick. The throw-in from Cacá Batista in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by JôVentus FC's Basílio Vinhas. After a rather tough play, GAMP FC's Cacá Batista got a free kick in the 64th minute. Lorenzo Oxel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nilson Bittencourt in the 65th minute. If Victorino Espiridion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vaggelis Kousouridis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Espiridion in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilson Bittencourt in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lorenzo Oxel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 82 minutes into the game, Nilson Bittencourt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Lorenzo Oxel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, JôVentus FC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Oxel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilson Bittencourt. Pedro Augusto Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Nilson Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, JôVentus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celso da Silva came free, but Lorenzo Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as GAMP FC's Nilson Bittencourt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lorenzo Oxel. That made the score 1-3 after 94 minutes of play. The GAMP FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
