Guataquara SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Laerte Paranaense scored to the left of an out of position Gonçalo Furtado, making the score, 1-0. Laerte Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvério Silveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gonçalo Furtado. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Luciano Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Amadeu Trevisan's late challenge caught a Baroneza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Trevisan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Baroneza booed when Guataquara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute of the match, Conrado Cardozo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronaldo Vergílio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Paranaense in the 56th minute of play forced Guataquara SS's goalkeeper Gonçalo Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Furtado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvério Silveira's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. When Luciano Valladares came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Baroneza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Valladares couldn't finish the play.
