The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Vinícius Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guataquara SS and the Imburana players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 4 played minutes Guataquara SS got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Duarte. Guataquara SS's Gonçalo Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Abraão in the 5th minute of play. Matías Vieira made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Vinícius Duarte sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Imburana's zone, Narciso Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matías Vieira came out of the goal and Narciso Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conrado Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Matías Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Imburana's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Cardozo came free, but Matías Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luiz Eduardo Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Imburana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Eduardo Amaral couldn't finish the play. Luiz Eduardo Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Furtado having to interfere. Gonçalo Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Abraão in the 30th minute of play. Matías Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Cardozo in the 36th minute of the match. Narciso Messias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Matías Vieira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Conrado Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matías Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Messias in the 43rd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Eduardo Abraão made a kick off. Conrado Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee gave Guataquara SS a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dalmo Lopes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Imburana's Matías Vieira. 2-0. When Carlos Eduardo Abraão, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gonçalo Furtado was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Conrado Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matías Vieira. Imburana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrado Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Cardozo in the 92nd minute of play forced Imburana's goalkeeper Matías Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Guataquara SS's zone, Luiz Eduardo Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
