Ramón Maia's late challenge caught a Baroneza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramón Maia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Silvério Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Waldemar Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Baroneza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Toledo couldn't finish the play. Alessandro Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Silveira in the 21st minute of play. Laerte Paranaense scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alessandro Oliveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvério Silveira in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Oliveira saved LUNA F.C from getting behind. In the 29th minute Laerte Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match Baroneza got a corner. LUNA F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Paulo Castro ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Baroneza getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Luciano Valladares hit a great ball. Alessandro Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvério Silveira's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Nilson Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes of play, Baroneza's Laerte Paranaense made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alessandro Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Baroneza were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldemar Toledo was the one to do the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alessandro Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind LUNA F.C's goalkeeper Alessandro Oliveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Baroneza's zone, Percival Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Vergílio came out of the goal and Percival Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvério Silveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alessandro Oliveira. That made the score 1-3 in the 67 minute of play. Nilson Romero scored 2-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronaldo Vergílio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Ramón Maia was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. Anselmo Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Baroneza's Silvério Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baroneza's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
