After 9 played minutes GAMP FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho da Costa. After having played for 10 minutes, Durval Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canarama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durval Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Remo de Sena fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Nilmar Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A collision led to GAMP FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Durval Fontes hit a great ball. With a little luck, GAMP FC's Vaggelis Kousouridis got control of the ball when Emerson Arce tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tales Toledo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Vaggelis Kousouridis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Bastos in the 37th minute of play. Vaggelis Kousouridis was a little too slow when Emerson Arce got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilson Bittencourt made a kick off. Vaggelis Kousouridis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víktor Magalhães in the 51st minute of play. Nilmar Quirino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nilson Bittencourt in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, GAMP FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Arce came free, but Vaggelis Kousouridis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GAMP FC's Vaggelis Kousouridis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Arce in the 80th minute of play. If Remo de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nilton da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Remo de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaggelis Kousouridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilson Bittencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Nilmar Quirino made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, GAMP FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Arce came free, but Vaggelis Kousouridis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Canarama had played much better football throughout.
