Spectators: 7392 (Terracing: 5546, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 147) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alan Oliveira kicked off to start the match. Josué Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The supporters of EC Salvador booed when S.C SKZ GAB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The EC Salvador fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when EC Salvador's Alan Oliveira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alan Oliveira in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josué Koehler saved S.C SKZ GAB from getting behind. In the 31st minute of the match, Alan Oliveira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Josué Koehler was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. S.C SKZ GAB's Josué Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter de Godoi in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes S.C SKZ GAB got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Galvão. When Alan Oliveira got free in front of the goal in the 35th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Josué Koehler was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Alan Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Válter de Godoi got free with Josué Koehler in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Válter de Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Josué Koehler came out and tried to block the shot, but Válter de Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Nildo Sampaio made the kick off in the second half. Orlando de Amorim's late challenge caught a S.C SKZ GAB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando de Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Amílton Mattos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Caetano Porto. The goal made the score 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in S.C SKZ GAB's zone, Dedê Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Koehler came out of the goal and Dedê Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josué Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê Mello in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in S.C SKZ GAB's zone, Dedê Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Koehler came out of the goal and Dedê Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josué Koehler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alan Oliveira went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Josué Koehler came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Salvador's Alan Oliveira. But to his dismay, Alan Oliveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. If Válter de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Koehler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan Oliveira's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Alan Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Josué Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the S.C SKZ GAB defense, Alan Oliveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josué Koehler. The S.C SKZ GAB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josué Koehler should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that EC Salvador were the better team. EC Salvador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
