The tension between the LAZZARI SPORT CLUB and the Malas United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alan Gomes hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Válter de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frédson Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinei Secco got free with Válter de Godoi in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22ndth minute of the game Frédson Messias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's Válter de Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinei Secco got free with Válter de Godoi in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of LAZZARI SPORT CLUB booed when Malas United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdomiro Luz came out of the goal and André Luiz Donato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Luiz Donato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Frédson Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Frédson Messias came free, but Válter de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinei Secco got free with Válter de Godoi in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell César de Alcântara to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Bastos got free with Valdomiro Luz in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Válter de Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frédson Messias's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Frédson Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Válter de Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, LAZZARI SPORT CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Gomes to maneuver through the defense. Vivaldo Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Luz having to interfere. A collision led to Malas United getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Caco Custódio hit a great ball. Malas United's Valdomiro Luz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Malas United from getting a goal against them. LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's César de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vivaldo Bastos took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdomiro Luz. Valdomiro Luz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. LAZZARI SPORT CLUB walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
