Spectators: 7004 (Terracing: 5460, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. When Aloísio Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the EC Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Gomes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Gramado's zone, Alan Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Marques came out of the goal and Alan Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24th play minutes Alan Oliveira shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Hélder Marques and just under the crossbar into goal. 27 minutes into the game, one of EC Salvador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 36th minute, Alan Oliveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EC Salvador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alan Oliveira in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélder Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Serafim Dracena made the kick off in the second half. Alan Oliveiras short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Hélder Marques to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Raúl Tande hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Jonathan de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the SC Gramado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Marvin Tobar took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélder Marques. Hélder Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Alan Oliveira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Hélder Marques when he managed to save the team from getting behind. SC Gramado's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Dedê Mello scored to the left of an out of position Hélder Marques, making the score, 0-6. Alan Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, EC Salvador's Dedê Mello dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. After 80th play minutes Alan Oliveira shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Hélder Marques and just under the crossbar into goal. Hélder Marques was a little too slow when Alan Oliveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-9. EC Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedê Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caetano Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Dracena in the 91st minute of play. Hélder Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Oliveira in the 95th minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Aloísio Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
