In the 88th minute Dorival Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Villazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hawaii FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zbyszko Sokolski was slow to take the kick. During this time Pontal do Sul's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Pontal do Sul's Zbyszko Sokolski to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Villazan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gabriel Villazan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guto Oliveira in the 91st minute. The Hawaii FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pontal do Sul were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
