Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Luís Fábio Silva made the kick off and thus started the match. Ian Varela was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. Pitombeiras EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 12th minute Serafim Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Jonathan de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gramado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Gramado getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Ortiz hit a great ball. Luís Fábio Silva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Hélder Marques when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anderson Toscano during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Pitombeiras EC got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Toscano. Jonathan de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélder Marques was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Luís Fábio Silva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Fábio Silva really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ian Varela might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Varela ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Gramado's goalkeeper Hélder Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafim Dracena to make the kick off. Emílio Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan de Alcântara in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Dracena in the 53rd minute of play forced Pitombeiras EC's goalkeeper Emílio Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ian Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. Serafim Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Queirós having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, SC Gramado's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Silva came free, but Hélder Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Queirós having to interfere. Ian Varela struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Hélder Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pitombeiras EC. Ian Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pitombeiras EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Gramado had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
