The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan Oliveira got free with Gabriel Villazan in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. EC Salvador's Caetano Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Barbosa in the 44th minute of play.

Dedê Mello, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 89 minutes into the match, João Augusto Sabóia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Villazan. Hawaii FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Augusto Sabóia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Gabriel Villazan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Oliveira in the 93rd minute of the match. After 95 minutes, Alan Oliveira made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hawaii FC's Gabriel Villazan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
