Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cristóvão Bastos took the kick off in the first half of the match. Válter de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Bastos in the 3rd minute of the match. Silas de Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silas de Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rio Preto F.C.! Luiz Fábio Araújo went to the wrong direction when Carlos Fernando Marques was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling César de Alcântara in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fábio Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute César de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. César de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Luiz Fábio Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when César de Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. Ademir Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vivaldo Bastos scored 3-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fábio Araújo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Cristóvão Bastos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Válter de Godoi. LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristóvão Bastos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's Válter de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Montenegro in the 68th minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luiz Messias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Preto F.C. the free kick. In the 73rd minute, one of LAZZARI SPORT CLUB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LAZZARI SPORT CLUB. Silas de Alcântara shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Bastos got free with Luiz Fábio Araújo in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 77 played minutes Rio Preto F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Silveira. 79 minutes into the match, LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's Vivaldo Bastos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fábio Araújo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cristóvão Bastos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Válter de Godoi was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After 84 minutes, Vivaldo Bastos made it 4-3 with a short kick to the right side. Rio Preto F.C.'s Luiz Fábio Araújo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's goalkeeper Válter de Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. André Luiz Donato hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's Válter de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Bastos in the 91st minute of play. Cristóvão Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
