If Valdo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonsinho de Amorim scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Paulo Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matías Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes of play, Atletic Caldas Madri's Afonsinho de Amorim made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Paulo Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute, Valdo Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pedra Dura fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 32nd minute, Valdo Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silas Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Atletic Caldas Madri's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Dracena came free, but Matías Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Fabiano Cordeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletic Caldas Madri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pedra Dura the free kick. Fabiano Cordeiro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Silas Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Ortiz having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, Pedra Dura's Valdo Leite made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matías Ortiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silas Dracena made a kick off. In the 54th minute Valdo Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito Sousa, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Matías Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Dracena in the 59th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Silas Dracena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matías Ortiz was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Dráusio Braga hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Pedro Paulo Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Trevisan in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th match minute, Pedra Dura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Queirós to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Valdo Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pedra Dura's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Leite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matías Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Fabiano Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silas Dracena struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Matías Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedra Dura. Valdo Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Matías Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Atletic Caldas Madri defense, Valdo Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matías Ortiz. The Atletic Caldas Madri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matías Ortiz should have stopped the shot. Valdo Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletic Caldas Madri's goalkeeper Matías Ortiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valdo Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matías Ortiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. After 98 minutes, Silas Dracena made it 5-2 with a short kick to the right side. Atletic Caldas Madri's Matías Ortiz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Pedra Dura players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
