Alexandre Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rômulo Koehler in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Luckasianos booed when Atlético Gaúcho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beturian Gabas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavo Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rômulo Koehler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Lara having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Luckasianos's Valdo Valladares got a free kick in the 19th minute. Olavo Reis struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Alexandre Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Gaúcho. If Valdo Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Valdo Valladares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cauã Porto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Hofreiter in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Lara saved Luckasianos from getting behind. Rômulo Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético Gaúcho's Rômulo Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 44 played minutes Atlético Gaúcho got a freekick which was hit by Beturian Gabas. 47 minutes into the match, Atlético Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Valladares came free, but Cauã Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Anton Hofreiter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Alexandre Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beturian Gabas kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Atlético Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Soeiro came free, but Cauã Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luckasianos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Valdo Valladares got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Atlético Gaúcho's Cauã Porto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Gaúcho from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd play minute Valdo Valladares came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cauã Porto. 0-2. Alexandre Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Reis in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Atlético Gaúcho's goalkeeper Cauã Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdo Valladares. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Soeiro in the 80th minute of play forced Atlético Gaúcho's goalkeeper Cauã Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauã Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Rômulo Koehler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Lara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Cauã Porto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdo Valladares in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Beturian Gabas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Gaúcho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luckasianos the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Anton Hofreiter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, one of Luckasianos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Atlético Gaúcho. Otávio Mendonça stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alexandre Lara. 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
