The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Anselmo Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. Penalty! 5 minutes into the match, Ribeirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Fantini came free, but Evandro Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chico Lopez struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Alexandre Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ribeirinha. Alexandre Lara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciro Veloso's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Alexandre Lara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chico Lopez went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alexandre Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Ribeirinha's goalkeeper Evandro Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdo Valladares. Evandro Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Fantini in the 41st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Valdo Valladares took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Evandro Pontes to make any attempt to save it. When Chico Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Ribeirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Lopez couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciro Veloso made a kick off. João Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Lara having to interfere. If Chico Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdo Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chico Lopez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Alexandre Lara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Evandro Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Vinhas in the 86th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Fantini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Evandro Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luckasianos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
