Atlético Gaúcho's Rômulo Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Pedra Dura's Dráusio Braga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cauã Porto. Cauã Porto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Silas Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cauã Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cauã Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Dantas in the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Atlético Gaúcho's Otávio Mendonça got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Vladimir Paraense sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Cauã Porto threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Vladimir Paraense this time. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Koehler in the 30th minute of play forced Pedra Dura's goalkeeper Pedro Paulo Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Atlético Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Dracena came free, but Cauã Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdo Leite got free with Cauã Porto in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedra Dura's Tiago Berger suffered a sore thigh after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Atlético Gaúcho's Beturian Gabas got a free kick in the 38th minute. Cauã Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cauã Porto made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Valdo Leite sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Pedra Dura's Cauã Porto threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dráusio Braga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valdo Leite was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Naldo Dantas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Atlético Gaúcho's Cauã Porto. Cauã Porto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Olavo Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rômulo Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Fonseca having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Atlético Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Dantas came free, but Cauã Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Valdo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauã Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Leite in the 78th minute of play forced Atlético Gaúcho's goalkeeper Cauã Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauã Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Dantas in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Valdo Leite cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Cauã Porto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute, Valdo Leite made a precise shot to the right of Cauã Porto. Atlético Gaúcho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Olavo Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedra Dura's Pedro Paulo Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Pedra Dura from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute, Raphael Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the Pedra Dura players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
