The player immediately received a yellow card. José Vítor Carvalho hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Veloso in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Edmílson Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ribeirinha's Evandro Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan dos Santos in the 13th minute of play. Edmílson Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Evandro Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmílson Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Pontes having to interfere. TacaraCatica FC's Rodolfo Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save TacaraCatica FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Borges in the 25th minute of play forced Ribeirinha's goalkeeper Evandro Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anselmo de Lara hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Alan dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evandro Pontes having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Jaime Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evandro Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evandro Pontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When Alan dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the TacaraCatica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan dos Santos couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmílson Borges to strike the kick off in the second half. Evandro Pontes made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Alan dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, TacaraCatica FC's Edmílson Borges got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Alan dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as TacaraCatica FC's Alan dos Santos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Evandro Pontes. That made the score 0-1 after 61 minutes of play. Edmílson Borges struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Evandro Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TacaraCatica FC. Rodolfo Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Veloso in the 78th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan dos Santos got free with Evandro Pontes in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ribeirinha's Evandro Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Borges in the 86th minute of play. Edmílson Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Evandro Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evandro Pontes came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by TacaraCatica FC's Armando Munhoz. But to his dismay, Armando Munhoz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 96 minutes, Alan dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TacaraCatica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. TacaraCatica FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
