Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fausto da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcisio Rodrigues in the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 played minutes Pojuquinha SC got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Fontes. Jerônimo Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Fausto da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto da Fonseca came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Old Impale FC's Tarcisio Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Tarcisio Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 17 minutes, Tarcisio Fontes made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Old Impale FC's Benedito Ferraz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Glauco Matos came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fausto da Fonseca could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Jerônimo Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Old Impale FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerônimo Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fausto da Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Tarcisio Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Pojuquinha SC booed when Old Impale FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmo Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Quintal in the 36th minute of play. With a little luck, Pojuquinha SC's Fausto da Fonseca got control of the ball when Glauco Matos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelo Goiano came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fausto da Fonseca could save by the left post. 42 minutes into the game, Dé Paulista threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pojuquinha SC's Caio Melo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ernani Nóbrega took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benedito Ferraz. Old Impale FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerônimo Quintal to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Tarcisio Rodrigues cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Fausto da Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Glauco Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. After having played for 69 minutes, Tarcisio Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Impale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcisio Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pojuquinha SC's Fausto da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcisio Rodrigues in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Jerônimo Quintal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto da Fonseca. Pojuquinha SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerônimo Quintal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 76th minute, Tarcisio Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerônimo Quintal took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto da Fonseca. Fausto da Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 82nd minute, Ernani Nóbrega sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Old Impale FC's Benedito Ferraz didn't even have to move. Pojuquinha SC's Edmílson Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 87 minutes, Tarcisio Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Old Impale FC and the Pojuquinha SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Old Impale FC's Tarcisio Rodrigues got a free kick in the 87th minute. Benedito Ferraz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Júnior de Brito.
