Spectators: 7175 (Terracing: 5415, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tadeu Bezerra took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Bezerra in the 3rd minute of play forced Fenix's goalkeeper Falcão Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dário Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Falcão Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeu Bezerra in the 8th minute of play. Rafael Bittencourt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thiago Loyola showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. If Thiago Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivaldo de Queirós hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Toninho Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falcão Furtado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Cerobas FC's Rafael Bittencourt got control of the ball when Dário Custódio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tadeu Bezerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Falcão Furtado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fenix's Eliézer Bastos got a free kick in the 30th minute. Toninho Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Falcão Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dário Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rafael Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thiago Loyola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cerobas FC's zone, Thiago Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Bittencourt came out of the goal and Thiago Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thiago Loyola struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Rafael Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenix. The supporters of Fenix booed when Cerobas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Glauco Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Ramiro Monteiro from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Falcão Furtado's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Fenix getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. José Maria Bertassi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Bezerra in the 68th minute of play forced Fenix's goalkeeper Falcão Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Fenix's Thiago Loyola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Bittencourt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Thiago Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 87 minutes, Dário Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Custódio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute, José Maria Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Loyola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Dário Custódio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fenix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fenix fully deserved thier win.
