The wind increased when Rui Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. When Simão Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Demoregi SC's protests and gave Simão Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. 59 minutes into the match, Discípulos FC's Benedito Recife sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simão Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Discípulos FC booed when Demoregi SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
