In the 19th minute, Erasmo de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vira Lata F.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Noel do Valle hit a great ball. If Aloísio Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Quirino hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute Edvaldo Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paulo Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizão Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luiz Veloso having to interfere. Abico's Edvaldo Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Toledo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Paulo Tinoco. Edvaldo Toledo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edvaldo Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Noel do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Pedro Luiz Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd play minute Aloísio Pirani came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedro Luiz Veloso. 2-1.
