Danilo Hoffmann came out of the goal and Guilherme Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aracati EC's Josué Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Tande in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Guilherme Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Hernani Tande had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josué Meireles. Aracati EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernani Tande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 19th minute of the match, Hernani Tande tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Josué Meireles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Josué Meireles made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Hernani Tande sent off a good shot on target. Benedito Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Meireles having to interfere. Hernani Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Josué Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josué Meireles made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Benedito Recife sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guilherme Figueiredo during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guilherme Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Josué Meireles was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hernani Tande showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. If Benedito Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Benedito Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Discípulos FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
