Wilton Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedito Recife in the 31st minute. In the 39th minute Joaquim Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joaquim Botelho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 41 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Danilo Hoffmann was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Danilo Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Discípulos FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vila Rural EC were winning 0-1.

After a defensive mix-up in Discípulos FC's zone, Joaquim Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Hoffmann came out of the goal and Joaquim Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Vila Rural EC's Giuseppe Furlan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Danilo Hoffmann. That made the score 0-4 after 85 minutes of play. If Hernani Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
