With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan de Toledo in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Paulo Tinoco saved Vira Lata F.C. from getting behind. The Mochila SS fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Mochila SS's Allan de Toledo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 11 minutes, Noel do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vira Lata F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronaldinho Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizão Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Mochila SS's Ronaldinho Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Perez in the 16th minute of play. Noel do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Mochila SS were awarded a corner. Perivaldo Donatello went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Perivaldo Donatello got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zé Paulo Tinoco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 30 played minutes Vira Lata F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Noel do Valle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan de Toledo in the 31st minute of play forced Vira Lata F.C.'s goalkeeper Zé Paulo Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Vira Lata F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Allan de Toledo came free, but Zé Paulo Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Álvaro Alvarenga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mochila SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vira Lata F.C. the free kick. The supporters of Vira Lata F.C. booed when Mochila SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Vira Lata F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Vira Lata F.C.'s Aloísio Pirani looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luizão Perez struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Ronaldinho Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vira Lata F.C.. When Álvaro Alvarenga was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. After 42 played minutes Mochila SS got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Alvarenga. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Luizão Perez made the kick off in the second half. Murilo Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Tinoco having to interfere. Donato Eger might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Paulo Tinoco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donato Eger ran back to his position shaking his head. If Murilo Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Zé Paulo Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aloísio Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Vira Lata F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Pirani couldn't finish the play. Aloísio Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vira Lata F.C.'s Zé Paulo Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Vira Lata F.C. from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Vira Lata F.C.'s zone, Allan de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Tinoco came out of the goal and Allan de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Dário Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aloísio Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
