Elói Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orico's Elói Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Aracati EC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Mandrak came free, but Josué Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Aracati EC's Josué Meireles got control of the ball when Sandrinho Capixaba tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 17 minutes, Robinho Hermes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aracati EC and the Orico players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Aracati EC's Robinho Hermes got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute of the match, Elói Perez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Josué Meireles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Josué Meireles made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Elói Perez sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 28 minutes, Elói Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elói Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Orico's Teodoro Mandrak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Josué Meireles. Josué Meireles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Sandrinho Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Teodoro Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Elói Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Josué Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Mandrak to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Aracati EC's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Perez came free, but Josué Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Mandrak scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josué Meireles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elói Perez in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josué Meireles saved Aracati EC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho Capixaba in the 61st minute of play forced Aracati EC's goalkeeper Josué Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elói Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Aracati EC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gustavo Souto hit a great ball. If Teodoro Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teodoro Mandrak struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Josué Meireles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orico. Sandrinho Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Josué Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Elói Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
